🌱 Growing instructions

  • Sowing: The easiest and best method is to direct sow seeds outdoors in late fall or very early spring. Poppies do not transplant well and perform best when sown directly.
  • Depth: Press seeds into the surface of the soil, as they need light to germinate. Do not cover.
  • Spacing: Space or thin plants to 15-18 inches apart.
  • Light Requirement: Full Sun to Partial Shade.
  • Soil: Prefers rich, well-draining soil.
  • Harvest: For dried seed pods, harvest after the petals have dropped and the pods have started to dry.
